Caitlin completed her training at the University of Western Sydney and the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her 5 years of study she mentored under several well respected and experienced Chinese doctors in Australia, and undertook her Chinese medical internship at Jiang Su Provincial Hospital in Nan Jing, China.
Caitlin has 10 years of independent clinical experience in Australia. In 2008 she participated in East Africa’s first rural Equal Access Health Care Project as the first doctor of Chinese Medicine to work alongside other complementary medicos in impoverished regions of Tanzania. In 2010 she also trained in the USA with Acupuncturists Without Borders in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in disaster and emergency settings. Since this time she has continued with professional educational development under world renowned experts in the field of Classical Chinese Herbalism including Dr Huang Huang, Dr Heiner Fruehauf and Sharon Weizenbaum.
Caitlin currently practices from our clinic in Maleny and employs a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbalism, cupping and moxibustion techniques. Whilst she treats a wide and diverse range of health imbalances and complaints, her particular interest is in women’s health (menstruation, fertility and menopause), digestive health, respiratory health, compromised immunity, chronic diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
